What parents have said about Summer Day Camp

Crystal

Everyone there is wonderful and my kids love going to camp! They have so many activities and field trips planned to keep the kids busy! Its nice that its an actual drop off camp! You dont have to let them know in advance if your coming or not and only have to pay the days you are there

Cori

The best summer camp in the area hands down!!! We discovered their winter camp last year and my kids absolutely loved it so they couldn’t wait for the summer camp! They do such fun activities / field trips every single day that are geared towards all age groups to enjoy. You also get to pay by the day so there’s no commitment which is very nice. My kids have made such great friends and memories this summer and we will definitely be back every year!

Natalie

We are so happy we picked this summer camp for our kids! The staff is so nice and always has something fun for them to do. There are field trips, swimming and fun activities too! We will definitely be back in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I really send my child to camp any day I choose?
    • Yes. Camp attendance is completely flexible. Come one day or every day. Billing is generated based on daily camp sign-in.
  • Are field trips included in the daily fee?
    • Some field trips are free. Others will have an additional cost. The field trips are billed in addition to the daily fee. You can check the schedule to see what trips are on what days.
  • What is the preferred method of communication?
    • Communication is important. Camp information and messages will primarily be sent through the Procare app. Please ensure your Procare app notifications are enabled.
  • What is the adult supervision ratio?
    • We will always maintain a ratio of 1:7 (for those under 1st grade) and 1:10 (for those older than 1st grade) in our camp program. Field trips will have a minimum 1:5 ratio.
  • Are there special security measures?
    • Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Background checks have been done on all of our staff. Only female teachers/helpers are used for children under 6. We also have a security camera system with cameras in classrooms, both lobbies, the gym, the chapel, and the hallways. To check in/check out, parents and pre-approved pickup adults receive a unique PIN for their child. Staff members wear identification badges during camp.
  • When will I be billed?
    • Invoices will be sent weekly and are generated automatically from electronic check-in and check-out in the Procare software. The preferred payment method is electronic via the Procare app, but you can also pay in person by check or cash.
  • How should I dress my child for camp?
    • Camp activities are both indoors and outdoors. Please check the daily schedule to determine whether special clothing is required, such as a swimsuit.
  • How does before-care and after-care work?
    • Before and after-hour care is simply adult-supervised child care and free play. The cost is $7 per hour, based on the length of time the child is there. The hours available are 7 am to 6 pm daily.
  • What about field trip transportation safety?
    • We distribute matching shirts to the kids for field trips. Additionally, our buses are inspected annually by the Ohio Highway Patrol, and all of our drivers comply with applicable state laws.
  • Is this a Christian Program?
    • The camp is a ministry of Southwest Baptist Church. Bible stories and lessons will be part of the camp experience. We are very careful to keep the topics age-appropriate and, at the same time, make learning about God fun!
  • Is food provided?
    • Yes. Snacks and a healthy lunch are free and provided every day. Please make sure that your child has had breakfast at home. Breakfast snacks will be provided for those here for early day care before camp. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.
  • What is the discipline policy?
    • We understand that kids are "kids" and that every camper has his or her shortcomings. Our goal is to teach personal responsibility by discipline through the reality of consequences. You can download a copy of our discipline policy here.
